Watcher! Watcher! Watcheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Yes yes, what is it? -.-
I met a guy!
I know. I'm the Watcher. I watch, remember? (Except sometimes more than watch, hehe.)
o.o
Anyway, I saw this really cute guy jogging outside my house, but I was too embarrassed to talk to him. Then, I saw him at the nightclub! It must be fate!
Or something like it, I guess. Go on?
His name is Dakota Horn. I got up the nerve to talk to him and I think it went quite well!
He is so sweet! He likes exercising, is a mixologist at the bar, and wants to have a family some day!
You set your sights high, huh. What happened after that? Did you get his number?
o.o
Don't tell me you didn't even ask for his number?
O.O
"Oh, someone's at the door!"
Marian laughed as she brushed her hair behind her ear. "Come in, please! I know it's a little simple. I've just moved and all..."
"No, it looks great," Dakota laughed. "You should see my place!"
"Please, have a seat!" Marian said brightly. Without thinking, she plopped into the closest chair. A little awkwardly, Dakota sat in the chair in front of her... and the computer.
*facepalm*
"Um... well," Marian stuttered awkwardly, "I was pretty happy to see you at the Blue Velvet. I saw you jogging outside but I didn't want to interrupt." (Rather I didn't have the courage! Eep!)
"Oh!" Said Dakota, eyes widening a bit. He obviously wasn't sure how to take that.
"Um!" Said Marian as she rose quickly to her feet. This prompted her to bang her knee on the table "Owwwww!" She whined, nearly falling over as she sat back down.
"Do you need some ice?"
"Yes please," Marian sighed as she hung her head. "There's an ice pack in the door of the freezer."
Dakota chuckled a bit as he went to get some for her. Marian could not help but admire his shoulders from behind.
"I've just recently moved myself. It's a nice neighborhood- and such nice people!"
"Yes, I think so too!" Marian chirruped.
Dakota passed her the ice pack as he sat back down, "It was honestly a relief to meet someone so friendly the first time I went to the Blue Velvet. I was worried I wouldn't meet anyone and would feel really awkward."
"Hah, me too!" Marian laughed.
The laugh died into silence.
"So, Marian, what about you? What are you up to in Willow Creek?"
"Oh! I really wanted to move out, you know, start chasing my dreams and everything! Everyone said I couldn't do it, but I certainly proved them wrong! Not that they were trying to put me down or anything, just-" Marian froze when she saw the slightest bit of confusion on Dakota's face. "I'm sorry, I'm rambling... I'm just... nervous, I guess," She laughed awkwardly.
"Hey, don't be worried! We're friends, aren't we?" Dakota smiled.
Marian froze for a second, but managed to cover it up. "Oh yes! Friends!" She felt her heart sink into her stomach.
He probably didn't mean anything bad by it. What did she think this was, a date? Hah... Besides, even if he did like her, it would be weird for him to profess his undying love right now... but she was so nervous... why wasn't he?
"Alright, let me start over. I've just recently left my parents house and am here in the music industry. I hope to be a professional pianist one day!"
"That's great," He smiled, and when he did, Marian felt her heart do a flip-flop.
Gosh, why couldn't she just be normal? It was so hard to get to know him with her internal organs doing gymnastics!
"So," She attempted a casual tone, "Why mixology?"
Dakota laughed, "That's kind of like asking, 'why breathing' to me. I love the creation, the experimentation with flavors, and then, sharing those flavors with others. I had a great group of friends at the last bar I tended, but they offered me a job here as head mixologist, so I took it. Besides, I like Willow Creek much more than Bridgeport."
"Wow, the big city, huh? I'm from Sunset Valley myself. Bridgeport seems very different."
"A little, but you get used to it," He smiled.
Gah, that smile again! It made the corners of his eyes a little crinkly. Sigh <3
"So then, why music?" He asked her.
"Yeah, it is like 'why breathing, isn't it?" She chuckled.
"Can I hear something?" He asked, gesturing to the piano in the corner.
"Really?" She asked, smiling. "Ok!" Marian hobbled over to the piano and settled her fingers on the keys. 'Come on fingers, don't fail me now!' She thought to herself.
Willow Creek stood in silence as a beautiful, warm melody enveloped it, touching each flower, tree, and heart. One had to wonder: was that just music in the air, or something else?
Wohooooooo! :D
Marian, I'm trying to stage a dramatic closure to the chapter!
Oops. Sorry watcher. :)
It's fine. Next time, just try to notice if I'm sounding all dramatic and.... stuff.
Stuff? :3
Shush.
But, well, what do you think? Does he like me?
It's really too soon to tell. The more important question is, do you like him?
He's really easy to be around! Really calm... and warm... and <3
Just keep going. I'm sure you'll get your answer in time.
But Watcheeeeerrrrr! I'm so nervous! Because what if he doesn't like me and I say something, or if he does, and then I ruin it-! O.O
*Sigh*
Marian, let me introduce you to the readers. They'll answer aaaalllll your questions, won't you readers?
Oh please! I mean, ahem, nice to meet you, I'm Marian Sherwood. I'll do anything if you can tell me! What do you think? Does he like me?
